Work performance from a pit (2.3 m x 1.3 m) Boring from the surface
Design and manufacture of the directed boring unit UNB-30 was stipulated by the following tasks:
- It must have small sizes to the maximum extent;
- Underground channels are to be worked out for subsequent installation of pipes having diameter from 63 mm to 160 mm at a distance by 100 running meters.
- Boring parameters are to be determined with the aid of the location system and drill travel direction is to operatively be adjusted in plan and profile.
- Possibility of drilling work performance both from the soil surface and from a small pit during mechanism installation to a duct, what makes it possible to optimally choose the method of trenchless installation of pipelines under conditions of city construction.
- Pipelines are to be replaced without excavations.
